Missing 1099
June,
What do I do if I have everything except one 1099 form from a client who is dragging their feet?
Claudia Graphic Artist, Morongo Valley, CA
Dear Claudia,
You don't need the 1099 as long as you include the income on your tax return.
One more question. I SERIOUSLY bought an Eliptical (gym equipment) to help me release the stress build up that my job here at home requires. (i.e. sitting at the computer for up to 8 -10 hours at times in order to meet the deadline). Can I deduct that?
Oh, Claudia, if only it were deductible, but it is not. If it were, next thing you know, accountants would be saying after a hard day of dealing with taxes and numbers, "I need a drink to relieve the stress. Hmmmm, can I write off the gin?"
Thank you June!
